The visit went fine. We got meds for her leg (the vet said bitten by another cat), along with stuff for fleas and ear mites. Now I am relaxing in our vacation condo.

OP replied yesterday and said they convinced their mother to take the cat to a vet two posts above yours.

She got a 1 year rabies shot last November, so she still has a few months to go. We're going to the vet in a few hours.
