Everytime we get a christmas tree my 4month old cat climbs it and knocks the ornament and stuff off the tree. we rty to tell her not to but she wont stop. HELP
Give this link a try, it has some good holiday tips. With cats, it is just repetative. You have to find something they dont really like weather it be a loud noise or particular sound. Every time they get near the tree you need to do this and tell them no. You can also try spraying citrus spray around the tree. http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/sho...hristmas+trees
I can't keep my 2 cats out of the Christmas tree. To them they look at each other and say "look Mom got us a tree!Oh, happy day
" If I have to keep fussing at them for being in the tree then I can't enjoy the tree. I have an artifical tree and I nail it to the floor, use light with the large bulbs (they can take the little lights out the sockets), tie my ornaments on with ribben (very securly so they can't eat the ribben); and come to terms that my tree will look beautiful for 30 minutes and then it will look like a cat (or 2) has been in it.
I'm not even putting up my big tree this year. I got a little artificial table top one which I decorated with bows and a gold plastic garland of large stars, no lights or breakable baubles, and a cardboard and raffia angel on top; she's already destroyed my Martha Stewart handywork once. As for the citrus spray, been there done that, doesn't work  I keep a spray bottle of water to squirt at her but to her it's become like a game--she just licks it off:LOL:
I KNOW she knows what "No" means but she's one strong-willed kitty!Drives her mommy
