Thank you Yogakitty! His saliva is fine too. He is just a smelly little boy I guess. He also has a smelly butt only after he poops. Lol.
We're all crazy cat ladies (AND gentlemen) on this bus, Darlin. You are SO in the right place! It makes my heart smile! Thank you so much. I did a bit of research and some kittens who were underweight May teeth later. It does make sense, he was very small and frail when we got him! He is a normal boy now.
I'll keep watch on his little teeth, in the mean time I did get him a water additive for cats to help with his teeth! It has helped!
You guys are life savers here! I'm not the only cat lady !!
I used to get that look when I opened my sons' gym bags, but NOT for the same reason!
@Mamanyt1953 mentioned his Jacobson's organ and I just thought I'd chime in with what's known as "smell tasting", which is done by opening the mouth and sucking up smells to taste by the Jacobson's organ. They can have their mouths open for a few minutes. I'm not sure if other animals do this or whether it's peculiar to cats. They certainly look peculiar when they do it, hehe!
I managed to find two of my kittens teeth, which I've saved for the fairies
sounds as if his food is not agreeing with him.. have you tried any foods without fillers: grain, corn, wheat... like low carb??
hahahaha! No snores coming out of Calvin yet But I have noticed he is almost burping or hiccuping.. Sometimes very loud! I have to think it could be something with his food. :/ He's got a rumbly tummy and a bit of terrible farts and smelly poops too!
I am looking into possibly getting him a food for sensitive foods. Not sure yet!
