My Cat attacked my brother

I got a new cat for my female cat for marriage.she freaked out and was very afraid.My brother  was holding her then suddenly she attacked him "bites-scratches" badly. I want to know ,is this dangerous ?

Cat bites can become infected, so it can be serious.  Make sure your brother keeps an eye on the bite and if it doesn't start to heal within a few days or you see signs of infection make sure he goes to see a doctor.

Cats have an enzyme in their saliva that can make it hard for the bite to heal. Cat scratch fever is a real sickness. Just make sure its clean and disinfected. If it doesn't show signs of healing, or becomes red and angry-looking, get to the doctor. In the meantime, its better to do a blind introduction for kitties. Let them smell each other before they see each other. It will keep them from being stressed and get them use to the smell of the other. Hope that helps and good luck!!!!
