Sassy is actually warming up to Ivee slowly..but not comfortable enough to sleep right next to her or interact just yet.
Bella on the other hand wants nothing to do with Ivee...but Ivee wants to get close to Bella once in a while and Bella lets her know that SHE does not like that.
i know it will take time for them all to POSSIBLY be friends. i think that Sassy most likely WILL eventually. Bella seems to NOT want to..but we never know.
altho Bella isn't really friendly with Sassy either. Bella seems to be one of those..LEAVE ME ALONE..types. which is totally fine. she is still one of my babies..and always will be.
It takes a while for a new cat/kitten to lose the "strange" smell, which is how cats identify other cats. Eating the same food, using the same litter box, sleeping on the same beds all help them lose it.
You may be surprised to find Ivee cuddled up with the other cats. It always seems to happen all of a sudden.
i didn't even think about the smell thing..in that sense.
last night i finally put some waterless shampoo on her. she still had the same she definitely smells better..and like the other too, that way at least.
they do use the same litter box and eat the same foods.
thnx for sharing that bit of info. i like knowing that my grrlz could possibly bond a little quicker than i may think.
Ivee's mom is very small too. she is over 1 yr..has had 2 litters now..and is no more than 5 lbs. Ivee is about 3 lbs now..but i am hoping she stays small like her momma..would be sooo cute.
Oh, she is just precious. Thanks for sharing. I also think it is cute when a female cat stays petite. I also think big huge cats are cool. And of course, I love all the ones in between! (I have one big tall and long male and one petite female who looks and acts like a permanent kitten.)
yeah..Ivee's momma Ivory is petite and cute and she also acts like a cuddly kitten. she is over 1 yr old.
i love visiting with her. she loves for me to hold her. IN FACT...the first day i met her, she rolled over and let me rub her belly.
