Hi, I lost my dear 17 year old DLH, "Fat Boy" 15 years ago and have been "catless", until 7 months ago. My niece took in a pregnant kitty and I am the proud owner of Petey, a white with black markings, DSH male. He is incredible. His fur feels like rabbit fur and he is long and sleek. He's being neutered today and I'll pick him up at 5pm. Glad to have found the site. He's already 10 pounds. Since we got him, my sister was traveling through Georgia and so this little orange thing sitting in the road with cars zooming around it. She stopped and picked him up and now we have two cats. Funny how that happens. Anyway our second little guy was so skinny you could feel every bone in his body, his eyes were matted shut and he suffered from an upper respiratory illness. He didn't weigh a pound. He is now pushing 6 pounds and beautiful. An orange tabby with white socks and a white bib. His name is Andy. They have brought so much joy into our home. I can't believe I waited so long to have cats as part of my life again. I'll upload pix of Andy later. Great to meet everyone.
