Well we are on day 2 of clavamox. He hates taking it but he refuses it in his food, so unfortunately, syringe it is. I’ve also been giving him prazosin crushed up in his food and he takes that just fine. He has been peeing, still small amounts but fairly regularly. He’s licking at himself afterwards every time. I did look at him down there and he looks quite red, but fortunately there doesn’t seem to be any blockage. I think it’s quite possibly a uti or just inflammation from the catheter. But, he’s also acting a lot more active so far this morning. Seems to be returning to his old self.
I will continue as is. We will need to re evaluate the clavamox with the emergency vet Thurs morning as that will have been 3 whole days on it.
