Ok, after 9 weeks of being a great mum to the kittens, Tinkerbelle has started to hiss at her own kittens for no apparent reason!
We have Feliway (diffuser) and Tinkerbelle has recently had the all clear from the vet healthwise.
I suspect its because she is on heat, going nuts and is not allowed out (especially as a tom cat was on the other side of the door responding to her calls and all she could do was scratch at the glass door). Do you agree? Or could there be other reasons? For example, us giving the kittens attention?
I am waiting for the kittens to completely stop nursing from mum to get her spayed(they only nurse off her perhaps once a day now and its only for 1 minute or so...she doesn't allow them any longer than that).
I am trying to keep all 5 kittens (4 are her own) away from Tinkerbelle..the kittens are upstairs, whilst she and Gizmo are downstairs.
Its not as if its World War 3 or anything like that, but with about 4 growls/hisses this afternoon at her own kittens, I'm just hoping this doesn't grow into a problem!
