Sorry for the multiple threads on all of my new fosters, they are an unhealthy bunch
Gibson (est 2 years old) had to see a specialist yesterday and have 10 teeth extracted including both upper canines. I asked for possible cause. They said most of his gums were retracted with too much tooth exposed and tarter build up may have been cause.
They feel he will be ok with wet and dry food after 10 days. Anyone have experience with this many extractions, special food/treats?
Any ideas what went wrong for this poor guy, I just can't believe he'd have that much tarter/damage in only 2 years. Besides brushing, any great preventatives?
Sigh another kitty to vet tomorrow, think Arkansas an URI post sedation. These poor things have poor immune systems
Thanks in advance!
