Hello guys! I am new here. My first post. I live in Northern VA and now an owner of my 2nd cat. My first cat is heading near 2 years and she's quiet big and healthy and happy. But 3 weeks ago, I gotten a new kitten, Mr Squiggles.
(Bare with me for the long post)
Well, he's a happy little guy. Love him a lot! Active too and always wants to cuddle. The first 2 weeks have been great until sometime end of last week. He started to have diarrhea. It's not that bad, nothing inside but just poop. No blood, no mucus. It's yellow. So now we have him in a seperate room with his own litter box and food. The weekend has been going pretty much the same. I've contacted the shelter where I got him from, she suggested Fortiflora for him. Gave me 7 packs. I gave him his first dose yesterday, put the pack in a few drops of water, mixed it up and fed him w/ a syringe. By night time, he just vomited on the floor. It was his food, not liquid. OK, thought it was due to him eating TOO much food. So after he threw up, I let him rest 20 mins and gave him some soft food before going to bed. Woke up this morning, saw he threw that up too.
Now, as for his health, he's over 6 months now. He's been tested de-wormed and got neutered and been checked on 10/21 as per documentation from the VET. He has also been taken to vet regularly for check ups, such as blood work. Was told he was never sick, always been active. Has 3 brothers, 2 of them are adopted by someone else, I have him, and his 3rd brother is still at the shelter and playing around, happy, just like him. Except they're not sick.
I'm not sure what is going on with him. I'm just worried a little bit. I gave him his 2nd dose of FortiFlora this morning, before coming to work. I am watching him right now, will be all day, through my webcam that is set up in the room.
