Howdy all.
my name is Justin and I've got a 5 month old kitten named Bean. He's an absolute sweetheart. But.... and I mean but.... he's had pooping issues from the start.
My wife brought him home when a coworker found him in a Starbucks parking lot. He was about 6 weeks old. Tiny. We took him home and immediately had him de-wormed. Right from the start though, we noticed little drops of blood on his rectum after pooping. There wouldnt be any blood in the poop though. We've been to the vet over and over, given samples, and they say they cant find anything wrong. His poop smells TERRIBLE too. On the whole his bowel movements are on the loose side, but I'd never say wet... We've been feeding him high quality foods, though I will admit we've switched around a bit with all the different samples we've purchased and gotten from the vet. We are taking him to a different vet tomorrow, and hope for some resolution, but I thought I'd bounce this off some other cat owners. Bean is healthy otherwise. He'll be 6 months in December, and already weighs about 7.5 lbs.... and isnt fat...
Help. I want to be sure he is ok, and I want to be able to not think about that silly "smellycat" song from friends when I hug him!!!! Plus, we just lost our 16year old cat a few weeks ago from renal failure. (a long battle and a long story)
