I just wanted to thank everyone for the great advice, and let you all know that it went way better than expected!!
My female cat was fine, and the male cat cried for about three hours and then slept the rest of the way. They have been adjusting well to living with my mother in law and I am using the Feliway Diffuser....which I think has been working great!!
