I feed my 5month old kitten one 5.5 can of wet food a day. He gets either Natural Life, Newmans Own, Evo, or California Narural. On the labels it says he might need twice this much?? Is this right, am I not feeding him enough??
He also gets about 1/8th of a cup of dry California Narural a day, he won't eat much dry food.
Also, I rarely see him drink. Should I be concerned about this because he eats so much wet food?? He always has water available but not sure how much he is drinking.

I dont think it is a alarming amount ... how much does kitty weigh>>?? ... the label will be slightly off since you are feeding a portion of dry ( which ounce for ounce runs 30-60% more calories than wet ; ie : wet has 200 calories and the dry has 400 for 4 oz just a example )

He weighs right around 6lbs. He is very thin but he is also very long.

6lbs for a ave cat of 5.5 months is normal... if you worry about him being thin best to have a vat take a peak ...

If he seems more hungry and seems thin, why not add a little more canned food?
