Yesterday we purchased 20 cans of Mittens Cat Food upon the recommendation of other cat owners. I should have known better than to have not checked the ingredients and yesterday all three cats became violently ill on the Tuna flavor and this morning we tried a different flavor and all got sick again including our kitten! This food is made with meat or poultry by-products and obviously less than healthy other ingredients. I believe that the handling of these cans has as much to do with the problem as the product itself. Transportation or storage in hot warehouses can cause spoilage and I am looking into this potential as well, it for now, I am angry and have written to Pet Supplies Plus And hope to receive other than an automated reply.

Wow, how scary. It's the weekend so you may not hear back until Monday. Did you take your cats to the Vet, or at least talk to your Vet to see if they need to be seen? Hope they are ok.

Mittens Morsels is Pet Supplies Plus' own version of Fancy Feast. The ingredients are almost identical, so you must not like Fancy Feast either. Not sure which fish ones you are talking about, but just for comparison here are the ingredients when looking at ocean whitefish and tuna. There is another 'Mittens' one sold by Pet Supplies Plus too - called Mittens Pickins, also included below for the ingredients.

Mittens Morsels -

Like with any canned cat food, storage and transportation can play a role in 'bad' food.
