My 6 year old declawed and spayed indoor female baby-bear has been missing for 5-7 days now. I went out of town to visit my family for Mother's Day weekend on Saturday the 10th and came home to find her nowhere to be found on Tuesday the 13th. Today is Friday the 16th. My careless negligent soon to be ex-roommate allowed this to happen and tried to lie her way out of responsibility, so I have no way of knowing what day she went out. My local Humane Society and county shelter has been notified as well as every vet office in town. I have also taped 200 fliers to doors in the neighborhood of apartments that we live in. She is also still being shared all over Facebook. There is a tree line followed by a large grassy field behind my building that I have searched over. I have also searched every patio (Lydia loves to wiggle in places to hide). I would like to set a humane trap, but there are so many stray cats around here (2 that I actively feed and house on my patio) that I feel this is a fruitless option. I would just be catching and releasing the same cats over and over.
Is there anything I'm missing? Her brother (a 13 yr old male) and I miss her terribly. He's been incredibly clingy to me and doing that deep chortle he does when he's puzzled by something.
