So these are my babies. Fella (grey) had a feral mom who was presumably killed in the road near my friend's auto shop. The kittens were born in the back of an old mustang on his property. He took them all in, only about 5 days old and played mommy and found them all new homes. He's my first cat and definitely a handful.
Kitty came along a few months later. Great, I thought because my new kitten should have a playmate. Kitty was found in my mom's back yard. She showed up one day, pregnant and underweight. Mom fed her and petted her but could not let her in due to her own cats. Some people who lived around the corner claimed her as their own and took her home a couple of times. One of the supposed owner's children actually kicked her in front of my mom but they left with her anyway. The very next day she was back at my mom's so I took her to get spayed and shots and everything and then brought her home with me. She was 7lbs, fully pregnant I didn't feel great about not letting her have her babies, but at the same time, I could easily take in one more cat, not five. And I was told it was her 4th litter or something crazy.
Kitty is pretty laid back and loves anyone that will pet her. Fella is a bit more...adventurous. This "free kitten" is now worth about $3k in medical expenses at only 5 years old
