I don't know about it where you might be, but the stores are having a "milk war" in our area. A gallon of milk is now 99 cents at Wal-Mart. I think an Aldi moved into the area and started undercutting them. The funny thing is that a half gallon is now $1.48.

How much are they paying your poor farmers? I work it out at 00.20 euro centimes per ltr there is now way that the farmers can produce it for that and you can be sure that the supermarkets arent making a loss.

I wish our milk was that cheap..Even just for the Great Value (Wal-Mart brand) gallon of milk is $3.48, at Weis its a little more and I dont know how much it costs at Aldi's.

No Milk War here. We are paying around $3/gallon, even at Aldi it can be almost that much. It is much cheaper in Atlanta, its frequently on sale for under $2/gallon there. That is just for the store brand, its usually closer to $4-5 for the name brands. I drink a lot of milk too.
