So here's the thing, it's not a problem because I love her and its a cute behaviour..

My kitten Mia is getting a bit older now she's probably around 8 months, and in the past month or two she's started eating and drinking with her paws. She used to do it from time to time but now she does it at every meal. She scoops the food or water in her paw and eats it off.

She also sleeps in our bed under the covers with us. I was wondering, since we got her at 7 weeks, an she hasn't socialised with other cats since we got her. Could she a copying us? Or do other cats do this often?

I actually know this! Lol. But yeah, cats mimic who is around them (my friends cat acts exactly like a dog). It probably her preference.

Yup! She could totally be copying you. After all, you got her very young, and she was still learning how to be a cat, and as far as she knows... you're her cat teacher!

My elder kitty was also an "only cat." She didn't do the food scooping thing, but she did the "under the covers with her head sticking out" thing. And she also liked to "gab" a lot. Just looking at me and meowing all the time, rather casually, with very "human" tones of voice.

My dad has a cat who had previously only been around dogs, and apparently she "barks" and "points" when someone is at the door.

Like all baby animals, kittens can be very impressionable.

That's funny you say that! She always meows at me all the time and I reply. But when she wants to play she meows but without sound (or a tiny sound) and she just keeps moving her mouth for 4-5 seconds, like mumbling. And then she does thriller (standing on her side with all of her hair up. And then I mumble and do thriller to her, an then we chase each other!
