Messy Bathroom Manners

Apparently my little man needs to learn some manners. :| 

It's nothing I can't clean up, and not really that hard to deal with. I just figured I'd see if there were any simple solutions. 

So here is the problem: Ichi treats his litterbox like a mini playground. He scratches the litter box cover to bits! I eventually figured I'd try out the multi cat "scratch resistent" pan covers. But the thing that keeps getting irritating is he is a digger and some how his litter gets ALL over the bathroom. And recently it's elevated to where his refuse clumps get all over too. I figured I could get a bigger box, or maybe even a covered one, but I was wondering if anyone else has any other solutions to this??

I think you will be happy with a covered box. That will eliminate most of the mess. Since you can tuck the edges of the liner under the lid, that might help with that issue as well. Ichi neko wa kawaii desu! (Ichi is cute.)
