Just got back from this year's Wag 'n Walk.  No costumes this year, neither of us were inspired to do that this time.  But we did the two mile walk and raised $1000 for the SPCA!

Resurrecting this old thread to report on this year's SPCA fundraising walk. I think this is our fifth year. :) We'll be doing it in May. I see I didn't post last year. We participated but neither of us did costumes that year. This year we're going in style!

Hubby is wearing his doggie costume again and I've got a new tuxedo cat costume to wear. :clapcat:

How do the cats react when they see you dressed up?
We dressed up for the walk yesterday morning and the cats weren't quite sure what to think.

We had fun--it's an event for walking dogs and raising money for the SPCA so lots of people dress up their dogs but the participants don't go in costume. Except us. :) We got lots of positive comments and requests for photos, and raised $1500 this year. :yess:

We only saw one other person in costume--a cavewoman and her dino-doggies. :) Super cute.

Reviving an old thread. I see I didn't post last year, even though we did participate in the walk. We had bought costumes for this year but it was cancelled due to COVID. The SPCA did a virtual event and asked people to post photos of their walk at their house or in their neighborhood. It was tough to raise funds this year of course but we got close to $800.

We probably walked about 50 feet. :flail: Just up the stairs in our back yard. Duke was having a hard time walking--he couldn't wear his glasses under the mask, and couldn't see where he was putting his feet without them. :coolcat: Plus he didn't want to stay in costume very long. He was worried the neighbors would see us walking around our yard in animal costumes and think we'd lost our marbles from being in quarantine for too long or something.
