I think that's where the cats came in..... Mom and I started collecting Cabbage Patch Kids, about 10 years ago....

my mom still has some, yes. I don't have any, no room!

4. Do you have a special childhood memory you'd like to share? Not so much childhood, but a teen memory. I have two best friends two of us met in the 5th grade, the third came along in the 7th.. And we are still great friends now 30+ years later . This particular incident came about one night that they both spent the night with me, probably mid-spring or so.... It was nice enough that we had both windows in my room open. Once we got ready for bed, we crawled in my queen size bed, one of them on each side, and me in the middle with my head at the foot ( don't ask, I don't know, lol!). We were lying there in the dark, talking, when all of a sudden "BLAM!".... none of us had any idea what it was, just that it came from the vicinity of one window. And the friend next to the lamp was too terrified to turn on the lamp for a good five minutes, lol!!! I had in my room an old stereo- one with a tv in the middle, a radio on one end with a lid and a record player on the other end, also wiith a lid.... Made of good, solid wood.......one of those lids was up, until a breeze slammed it shut- scaring the crap out of all three of us! Took a while to get calmed down, to say the least!
