Could there be something wrong with his stomach ? Such as the Eosphagael Sphincter which may be weak or inflamed and is causing him the vomit the food back up this is called esophageal dysphagiaesophageal dysphagia, the esophagus (the tube that connects the throat to the stomach, allowing food to travel into the stomach) is damaged in some way andswallowing is affected. ... Vomiting up food after you swallow it. A sensation of food getting stuck in the chest in the area of the breastbone.

I would get the vet to check if he is also alergic to the food that he is eating which may be causing inflamation there . Doesnt sound like your cat is in pain as he is wanting to keep eating and if he is keeping food when sitting upright it could be a weakness in the entrance of the stomach.

thank you! We are fighting the shelter to get his x-rays so my vet doesn't have to take new ones. they claim they can see it on the x-ray but i am skeptical. Once we get them and my vet can review them we will know more. i will definitely post pictures of him using his Mega Feeder!!

Toby is up to 1.41lbs today. one week after he was supposed to be euthanized. we finally got his x-rays. turns out they did not even take any the day they tried to euthanize him. so they gave us some BS about his esophagus pushing on his lungs.
I also decided we can never have enough foster babies and picked up these ginger kids!

Toby is slowly growing and getting bigger. He is still vomiting some times but it is much less. He is currently on Carafate and Viagra to try to help correct his condition. We are trying to gather the money to get him some new xrays and see what we are looking at. Today he weighs 1lb 8.1oz. Almost to 2lbs but I don't think he will be getting altered yet. have to make sure he can survive the anesthesia first. Just thought I would post a little update :)
