These are my precious kitties:
Bootsie is the calico manx. She is about a year old (they think) and is a hurricane katrina kitty. I became a foster parent for her when the shelter in Hattiesburg MI became full. She's been through a lot but is feeling better now. Recently I was able to adopt her. She's sweet and playful. Loves to sleep in my lap while I'm eating and chase string. I named her after that feisty looking kitty in the book "why cats paint".
Monticello is the 6 months old (??) black and white kitty. He is also a hurricane katrina kitty. He was sent to Metro East (IL) humane society when the New Orleans shelter got full. Unfortunately he was not able to get fostered because he had ringworm (which is contagious to people?) so he had to remain there in isolation for a while. I got him about a month ago and he is very friendly. I named him monticello (Italian: little mountain) because when he comes up to you he arches his back really high to make it easier for you to reach down and pet him.
Bootsie didn't like Monty so much at first but now they get along well. They like to chase each other around, wrestle, groom each other and sleep together. They are so adorable and rewarding to me.
