Meet Dixie my new kitten who is about 12 weeks old now. Mum is a Ragdoll and dad a Maine Coon so might be a big little lady one day.
We were very nervous about bringing a kitten into the home as have another cat who was a stray and adopted us. The cat kept turning up in the house and a bromance developed between Bawbag and hubby as he is a big boy and after the ultimatum of if you want him to stay ( he was a sprayer) he gets fixed was accepted he very slowly became a permanent fixture. Took a while for him to settle but we got there so there was nervousness about introducing a new cat. It could not have gone better. We let him meet the kitten on his terms and kept her in a pen when he was around to begin with (best buy ever) and built up contact.
She has been with us for 5 weeks now and they get on so well, playing with each other and he keeps her in line when needed though she did chase him across the room tonight so is getting braver.
