Actually I'll be having a 46 to 55 gallon (pretty sure it will be 46). The 10 gallon was when I was young. I guess I didn't specify
. In the larger tanks you can't go by the inch per gallon either as every fish contributes differently to the bio-load. Cichlids and goldfish are awful on the bioload but tetras and shrimp don't effect things as much.
Are you sure your thinking of the same with ottos? The ones I"m talking about max at 2 inches and most I see are tiny. Heres the one I'm looking at but all the pet stores carry them too:

They are one of the smallest algea eaters and preffered for algea cleanup in planted tanks (people swear by them!). Heres a great thread I've found on algea-eaters:
