Yesterday marked 7 days in a row with no regurgitation for Mazy. A record. Today will be 8.
Eight days without regurgitating! And that is with no pepcid either! Up until this last stretch I couldn't seem to get her past the five day mark. Once in a very great while she could make it six days. In addition, she is eating with a much better appetite than she ever has.
There are two main reasons for this great improvement I think:
I credit the raw meals for improved digestion for sure,(she gets one ounce of Rad Cat ground raw a day, and two tenths of an ounce of small raw pieces of whole meat, in addition to her canned), but I also think that getting her off the petroleum hair ball products has made a huge huge difference for her. She had been taking that stuff for her entire life, every other day from March through October, and every 2 or 3 days all winter. Now she gets the egg yolk lecithin twice a week, and a little bit of the Vet's-Best (about 1/4 tablet max) daily dusted over her 2/10 ounce of meat pieces.
I am so happy to have my cats free of petroleum products, it's been a long hard search. Jennie gets her tablespoon of pumpkin every day, and once a week I skip the pumpkin and give her the egg yolk lecithin instead. Queen Eva also gets the egg yolk lecithin once a week. Mazy gets it twice a week.
Since a half capsule is one dose, that's how I worked it out. On Sunday Mazy gets a half capsule of the egg lecithin and Queen Eva gets the other half. On Wednesday Mazy gets a half capsule and Jennie gets the other half.
