Matthew Perry died

Just saw the news about Matthew Perry dying.

I read his memoir last year, and it was so depressing reading about his struggles with addiction. It seemed he was finally on the road to a better life, and was looking forward to finding love, so truly heart breaking to see that isn't going to happen. RIP Matthew.

I saw that last night. Wasn't expecting to see that.
Loved him in 'The Whole Nine Yards' and 'The Whole Ten Yards'.

I never watched Friends, really, but it's such a tragedy. So young.

So sad and such an incredible loss. I loved him in Friends, and he would make me laugh until I cried sometimes (especially when he tried to smile for his wedding pictures).

He was also very open about his substance abuse problems. He tried to help people and it is difficult to guess how many benefitted from his work in that area. He used his fame for good and I think he was an amazing person in so many ways. An inspiration.

I got into Friends as a young adult during a period where we were saving money by canceling cable. We got the dvd series one season at a time. My mom and stepdad loved Fools Rush In. (I think they liked the multicultural relationship as much as the comedy.)

54 is way too young. Addiction really can damage the body. It’s very sad. I don’t know that was the cause; but it could be a factor.
