Two days ago, we got a 8 week old Manx kitten from our local SPCA. We noticed when we got home she looks like she has a spinal deformity around her shoulders. She also has trouble getting out her poop and seems really underweight since we can feel every bone. I did some research on the breed since I knew nothing about them and saw how they can get Manx syndrome. However, most of the cats had problems with their back legs. We have an appointment with the vet next week but are really worried about her. Has anyone seen something like this or give us any advice?

Hi! goodness, I hope the vet says she's ok. Sweet baby!!

Can you add some pumpkin (plain, no spices) to her diet to help her poop more easily?

Also, try giving her some kitten glop (recipes are on the internet), she needs additional calories and nutrients. Also add in Kitten Milk Replacer, and also Pedialyte will help get some padding on her little bones as well (there are recipes for these as well on the internet).

Hang in there, let us know how things develop and what the vet says :)
