She is 11 years old and the vet suggests to take her to surgery and have the entire chain removed. Wether malignant or benign. I am afraid I may jeoprdize her quality of life. I love her so much.

How do cats fair with this type of surgery and recovery.

She is half siamese and I know they are higher risk than other breeds.

Has anyone had this and what has the outcome been.

My Stripe had it when she was 4 and the brests were removed. A month later it came back then she was fine until she got Crf years later. Stripes was
borderline cancer. I hope your cats isnt cancer. The tissue sent to UC Davis.
I lost Stripe at age 11 to Crf. Surgery saved her . What does your vet say about the risk of surgery because her age. It is a big cut when its done. You can pm if you want more info. it did save Stripe.

my 1st cat, Medley, got mammary tumors [2-3?] & had them removed. she was not a young cat at the time - maybe around 10-11? anyway, she lived for 4 or so years after that - she did just fine w/the surgery.
