Sorry for the graphic pic. I'm not experienced when it comes to sexing
cats. I need to know male or female he/she is really fluffy too so a little tuff. Not the best pic either.

I'm fairly sure that's a girl. How old is she?

I would be inclined to say girl as well.

12 years old. We thought girl but then vet has her down as male (this could be a mistake)
12 years or 12 weeks? If 12 years, you'd think the vet would have figured it out by now, lol. Is she/maybe he fixed?
If 12 weeks, yeah, some vets can't tell at a young age and some just take the owner's word for it. Usually sorted out at time of spay/neuter.
The best angle for a picture is the cat standing up with their tail up, and the picture taken directly from behind. With a shorthair you can usually do that alone but with a longhair you also need to hold their fur out of the way so if you can get someone else to man the camera it would turn out better.
