My male cat is about a year old. He recently started peeing in the house and I can't keep up with it cause I'm not constantly watching him , now my whole house smells sour. He just started doing this. He's always gone in the litter box. Any ideas?! I need this to stop

Yes, that's what he's doing. He will also start darting out of the house if you keep him in indoors. Have him neutered ASAP. It's a simple procedure for a male cat. My cat was neutered when he was about 4 months old. I've had him over a year and he always uses his letter pan.

It's definitely spraying.  Once he's neutered there's a very, very high chance this will stop completely.  It's actually best to have male kittens neutered before they become sexually mature.  That way, they've never sprayed and don't have to unlearn the behavior.  Have your boy neutered and you will both be much happier.
