So, I recently decided that I was going to start making my cats food. In order to do that, I decided to go to the local Healthy Petfood store in town and see if I could find some recipe books. I ended up getting two. One is just for raw food - how to do it, a couple recipes for dogs and cats, some general information, etc. etc. But I also bought one called Made Out of Love by Lucy Postins.
Have any of you used it? Basically, it's a little pet food recipe book that has recipes for dogs, cats, dogs and cats, and a couple that are good for human consumption! I'm actually pretty interested in trying it out. I don't think it's entirely healthy for them (some of the recipes call for vegetables and I think I saw one that could be fed to cats, dogs, and people that had grain in it), but I don't think it's necessarily unhealthy for them either. Definitely not food that they could live on, but it looks like it would be nice for a little treat now and then. =)
There's even a couple sections at the back - one is for a couple basic raw diets, and one is for health concerns, so there's recipes for stress relief, diabetes, cancer, etc.
I obviously can't recommend it as I haven't made anything from it yet, but I thought I'd share that it's out there and see if anyone else has used it!
