Hi,, I am part of the staff that takes care of Luke Jacob. He came to us completely emaciated. We took him to the local shelter for help that was denied by the vet due to their binding laws and regulations. However the lower med staff was allowed to look at him and see if he was tagged. To our disbelief,,Luke Jacob was chipped and history states he was adopted twice,, he had walked and survived miles and miles of land, and survival of what only God knows. We were horrified when we found out he has no back or front claws. Luke had no ability to provide for himself food, or protect himself. The vet came out, and gave him a clean bill of health,, and instructions on how to take care of him. He walked so long,,, that the callouses on his paws are like that of an outdoor dog. You can feel remaining tendons and count every bone. His eyes are so bright, and clear,, he is so very sweet. He is now beginning to ask for his food and become social. Thank you for the site,, I have been reading everything on how to care for him, that is posted on your site. anyone with helpful info is so welcome to offer suggestions. If any of you pray,, I thank you in advance for prayers for Luke Jacob. I am amazed he made it so far.. he walked miles of earth to get where I am, and months of starvation. He has crossed train tracks, highways, streets, and all that crossed his path. He is resting on the table a beautiful aged lady knit just for him. He is slowly putting on weight, and i feed him every 2 hours,, and sterilize all of his dishes everyday. Thank you.. God's speed be with you all.
