I went to my mother's house on Friday.
I came back Sunday.
This happened Saturday // Sunday morning.
Lucy lives in the garage. I should have never kept her. She could be alive in another home had I taken her to a shelter. But I didn't, and now she's gone.
She was always really good about keeping away from the car. Not this time. Lucy was run over by my grandma's car on Saturday, and wasn't found until Sunday morning. It's not my grandma's fault. She's 80 years old.
We have a problem though. Because it's December, the ground is frozen. So we can't bury her right away. I will NOT throw her body away. Is there a such thing as a pet crematory? Or would she be fine in the cold garage where animals can't touch her, until the ground thaws?
I also feel bad because I haven't cried. It's no one's fault, and maybe she's better off. I hope it wasn't painful.
