Hey. I've always been horrible at assessing breeds and markings. Hopefully someone can tell me what these guys resemble, or if they're just a mash-up of everything. They've just been described as "domestic shorthair" on their vet forms. This is purely out of curiosity, I'm not fussed either way. They're gorgeous and precious to me. :)

This is Luca, my current boy.

And this is Sox, who's no longer with us.

The two are not related.

Hello!

Both of them are beautiful!

And yes, they are domestic shorthairs (or moggies).

However, for colors/patterns:

Luca is a deep red classic tabby + white.

If his red/orange is more brown, then he could be a chocolate classic tabby + white instead. :)

Sox is a black + white bicolor.

Hope this helps!

He could also be called for tuxedo, with this pattern - its just a more everyday description of the black and white bicolor.   :)

Oh, I thought tuxedos were cats that were mostly colored with the exception of certain locations, such as a white blaze/muzzle, bib/underbelly, and white feet with a possible tail tip.

But yes, Tuxedo is another term you could use for Sox. :)

Red tabbies are very beautiful, especially when they're as brilliant as Luca! :) A very handsome tom you have there! Both of them.

I like Tuxedo, very gentlemanly!
