I was driving and waiting at an intersection to turn green when I saw a dog with no owner nearby walking around on the other side. It even crossed the street and cars stopped for it to pass! I'm so glad the cars saw the dog and didn't go even when the light turned green.
The dog walked towards the fire station and disappeared behind some bushes.
I feel kind of bad for not going to look for it to make sure it wasn't lost. I regret not circling back to see what happened. I don't even know who to call if I even got a hold of the dog (if it didn't have a collar). I supposed I would have called my local shelter but would they be able to take the dog right away or would I have to keep the dog until the next day? And I don't think my parents or my cat would appreciate me bringing in a stray dog.
Just lots of regret at this point... I keep telling myself someone more kind hearted must have found the dog. Maybe even the firefighters at the station...
