An email response I just got from Weruva:

Thank you for the email to Weruva/Soulistic and support of our products (yes, Weruva manufacturers Soulistic J). We are pleased to hear that your kitties enjoy our food. By and large, Soulistic and Weruva share similarities from a processing and sourcing standpoint, but there are of course several differences amongst the varieties . . . basic things such as the protein used or the cut thereof . . . to the medium. Some flavors are quite similar amongst the brands, but some may be quite opposites.

Again, thank you for the kind email. Please let us know if you have further questions or comments.

Best Regards,

Soulistic is made exclusively for sale at Petco and Petco.com
So other than confirming that they make both brands, he didn't really tell you much. I bet if someone put a can of Weruva Paw Lickin Chicken and a can of Soulistic Good Karma in identical bowls that he would not be able to tell them apart. :lol3:

I wonder how they answer their phone.... "Thank you for calling Weruva? Weruva/Soulistic? Thank you for calling. For Weruva press 1 for Soulistic press 2?"

Weruva Paw Lickin Chicken

Ingredients

Chicken (Boneless, Skinless, White Breast), Water Sufficient For Processing, Potato Starch, Sunflower Seed Oil, Dicalcium Phosphate, Xanthan Gum, Choline Chloride, Taurine, Vitamin E Supplement, Zinc Sulfate, Thiamine Mononitrate (Vitamin B1), Nicotinic Acid (Vitamin B3), Ferrous Sulfate, Calcium Pantothenate, Vitamin A Supplement, Potassium Iodide, Manganese Sulfate, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Copper Sulfate, Riboflavin Supplement (Vitamin B2), Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6), Folic Acid, Vitamin B12 Supplement.

Yup, pretty similar
Soulistic has water as the first ingredient while Weruva has chicken. Is Soulistic more "soupy" than Weruva?

The one main difference between Soulistic and Weruva is that Soulstic uses tapioca starch as a thickening agent while Weruva uses potato starch. The starches only make up around 1% of the ingredients, at least according to one of the comments here.
