My Brother in Law is a Mailman. On his route he feeds the local strays and ferals. One of the cats on his route had kittens last month sometime between the first and middle of April. Mother cat has not been around for a few days so today he loaded them up in a carrier and brought me a present. He has already brought 7 cats home from his route and just couldn't take home anymore so he thought of me lol.
I have gotten all kinds of things from the Mailman but I can honestly say this is a first!
So they are approx 6 weeks old. 2 girls and a boy. I already have homes for 2 of them when they are ready to go. I plan to keep them for another 4 weeks or so. They are slightly friendly. I can pick them up but they do hiss and spit at me which I find hysetrical. (It is just so darn cute) I will call the vet in the morning and cart them off for a check up. Once they are checked out I hope Moe my princess cat will foster them. She did an awesome job with Charlie and I am hoping she takes it upon herself to take care of these guys for a bit.
2 of them have eaten some solid food tonight and a small portion each of KMR from a bottle. The little grey one is refusing to eat right now but I keep trying every couple hours. Luckily he is the fattest one, but also the shyest one as well.
It has been awhile since I have had kittens this young. Do I need to stimulate them at this age? They do appear to be cleaning themselves a little but I wasn't sure if I should help them a little with the wet cloth to the bum until I know wheather they can go on there own.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thank you
