Actually, raw has been very beneficial for some cats with allergies and IBD. Look up Carolina's transitioning thread. Her Bugsy had an amazing turnaround with raw.

If your cat has food allergies, then NV was not a good commercial raw to try because NV has a bunch of ingredients other than meat, so he could be reacting to any of those.

You can try cooked or raw pure meat. You don't need a recipe. Cats don't need rice or veggies. I would try him on plain raw or baked chicken pieces (unless he has an allergy to chicken). You can feed just this for up to 2 weeks without worrying about balancing or supplementing.
:yeah: I would try - whether cooked or raw - just one protein, and nothing else at all. See if it was perhaps one of the MANY ingredients in the Nature's Variety besides meat/liver. :nod:
