Hello!
I was reading a thread about a cat who had severe liver damage and I want to open it up again and see if there are any updates to your kitties!
My cat - Jonas woke up one Monday morning laying on the ground barely moving. We took him to the vet and they said that his numbers are really awful and that he needed to go through intensive care. We left him there Monday night. He ate a little bit on Tuesday and the doctor said he was doing a little bit better with the IV. However, he didn't do so well over night Tuesday into Wednesday morning. He was very jaundiced and the doctor said he didn't eat. They wanted to put him to sleep but we didn't have the heart to do it. We took him home and have been force feeding him. He lays around and every once in a while he gets up and tries to walk but he is very wobbly and very weak. We are expecting him to pass away because the doctors were pretty sure he would but I'm somewhat optimistic that maybe with force feeding and getting him his nutrients we might be able to help him a little.
Any thoughts or advice? It's been a really rough day and I can't bear the thought of losing him but I'm almost 100% sure we are.
