Litterbox inside cabinet

Here is my sister's pantry cabinet in her kitchen. From the front you can't tell there's a litter box inside. The bottom front doors do not open. Not the best pictures, but you get the idea.

The cats enter through the side. And the door is right there to open to pull the litter box out. Right inside on the left wall is the hook to hang the litter scoop.

It works very well. 

We're thinking of something like this for our bathroom cabinet.

Thought - if hooded litter boxes aren't typically recommended because they trap odors and cats who escape into there from bullying, is a putting an litter box into a cabinet the same thing?

There's usually just one opening for the cat to enter and exit through.
