I've only owned three cars since I got my license in 2005.

My first car was my
baby
It was a beautiful 1997 Toyota Cavalier. Sooo speedy and so green! Sold because the water pump kept screwing up and it was $800 to replace each time.

My second car was a 1997 Ford Taurus. Loved driving it but what a LEMON. I sold this because the power kept failing.

My third car has been my best car and she's a beauty. 1992 Toyota Corolla FX-GT. Mighty poweful for just a little girl - but not big enough to go to cat shows in.

What I need in a car: good speakers, good sub and amp and good head unit

Jan, how fitting that you would have a Mars bar van

I was wondering if anyone caught that.

Reading these, esp. Fran's blue with black car from the early 1970s, reminded me of the car Sis and BIL bought for niece. They bought the blue with black Plymouth Duster from a friend who needed money. Fugly thing, but niece was happy to have a car. One frigid winter morning it was the only vehicle of their fleet that would start. And the other two were new! BIL got it that day. When niece graduated, she bought another car and nephew got to drive "The Blue Bomb". But he was not so fond of it as it spoiled his macho image (he wanted a jacked up pick up truck). Took two ditches before he finally killed it.

My first car was a 1986 Camaro sport coupe. My dad bought it for me when I was 14 as an Easter present. I think I put all of 5 miles on it in the 5 years I had it, because the day I got my learners permit at 16, he bought me a 1984 Camaro Z28. Both of these were red 5-spd manuals. I still have my Z28, but its currently waiting for more power. We were going to put a LS1/6-spd in it but hubby wants to use it for his car now.

My favorite car is my Camaro
The worst car I've had would probably be the 1991 Grand Prix
That car was beat up, would stall when you braked, and had suspension issues. It was good on gas though! It was white.

Currently hubby & I have the following in our possession:
1992 Acura Integra LS daily driver - white, 260k miles, 5 speed manual.
1999 Ford F-350 PowerStroke Diesel - red, 195k miles, 6 speed manual.
1984 Chevy Camaro Z28 - red, no drivetrain anymore - project
1986 Chevy Monte Carlo SS - silver, no drivetrain anymore - project
1988 Pontiac Trans Am - blue, V8 automatic - for sale
1987 Pontiac Fiero GT - maroon,V8, 5 speed manual.
1990 Acura Integra RS - silver, automatic - loaned to my brother.

Cars that I drive must be a manual. I HATE automatics. But, those are what keeps my hubby in business! I cant drive them

I've had those 7 cars, plus two Grand Prixs and a Prelude Si.

Gonna try to add a pic of Abby, per Pam's request. Not the best pic in the world, but this is my baby. (the front end looks lighter because of the sunshine)

Wow, she's sweet! Nice-looking car! I'll have to show her to DH tonight. I was telling him about Abby last night and he said he'd like to see her, too. For the most part, he has always liked Mustangs.

BTW, his car was actually a 1965 (and 1/2) Mustang. White with tan interior. And two black cat paws on the trunk.
He's often said that he really regrets trading it in. It was really a nice car.

Thanks! (And thanks from DH, too!)

Trapped in the catroom! ;o)
Hmm cars..I first had an 89 Ford Escort GT...Bessie was the best I finally scrapped her because some jerk off smashed the windshield in while she was sitting on the side of the road (timing belt broke but easy fix). Next was a 98 Plymouth Neon, I love Pedro to death but his death came with my second DUI and snow storm when I lost control in the ice and smashed into the back of an evil Kia Sportage (I hate those things) and finally I now have Bertha who is AWESOME! Shes a 97 Cavalier with about 50,000 miles on it because we found a junk yard engine with really really low miliege on the same exact car we got for 100 bucks wrecked. When we first got her she was all smashed up dents and dings everywhere the hood and one fender were different colors but thanks to Penn Dot and a shed BF painted her all one color. Now if only I could get him to redo the whole car like he promised in my own specialized Harley Cavalier Id be super happy.
BF had a limited edition Harley F-150 fresh off the show room floor that he sold because it was too much of a pain to wash!!! Im still LIVID with him for selling it especially since he was only 3 payments away from paying it off!!! Who the heck does that!!! I couldnt even begin to count all the cars and trucks he has sold or replaced on both hands and feet!! LOL!!
