This morning when I woke up I noticed that my almost six month old kitten had vomited twice. Although I probably should have, I didn't worry about it and went to work. A couple hours later while on my lunch break I drove home to check on him and discovered he had vomited about 10 more times and was quote lethargic and had not eaten any of the food I had left for him. At this point I called my manager and let her know I would
Be late coming back to work.
I had issues finding a vet because I just moved to a new town and my regular vet is an hour away. We are in the middle of a winter storm and the vets here in town closest to me were closed due to power outages. So I drove him to a vet about a half hour away.
The vet really has not told me much as of yet and I am SICK with worry. They seem most concerned with getting him to eat at the moment and are keeping him over night to keep an eye on him. They seem to think he must have gotten into something but I just can not think of what. I have searched my apartment high and low and there's nothing I can find that he could have eaten. The only thing they mentioned that might have happened is he could have gotten a hair elastic and swallowed it. He's always trying to steal them from me.
I know he's at the vet and that is the best place for him right now but I still at a loss. I'm going crazy with worry, he is my baby any advice at all would be greatly appreciated. I'm so sick with worry.
I'm also worried about the vet costs sadly I will do what I have to, I have a credit card for emergencies.. But I am a student and am barely getting by myself. No comments on how if I can't afford it I shouldn't have a cat.. I have savings set aside for this I'm just scared they will
Not be enough. I started a vet fund when I decided to keep Boone (I found him on the highway at 6 weeks) it just hasn't had a chance to grow too much
