My pregnant kitty has seemed to be in labor for a few days.. she's been having brownish discharge for a few days now, and restless, and pacing. She's hairless around her nipples and seems to have dry milk around her nipples.. I'm worried! Any ideas?

Thanks!

I know the first stage of labor can last a couple of days... have you seen contractions or her actively pushing? As long as she hasn't been actively pushing for more than an hour no need to worry!

Yes I've seen what looks to be contractions but they seem to not last more then a second.. maybe it's just me wanting it to happen!?

She's under a bed that I prefer her not to have them under.. but I think that's were she nested. It's a big sturdy bed with carpet under that I can't fit towels neatly or all over down there. I'd hate to move her and put her in stress or try to fight it or something :/

What you describe, I dont think its labor as yet. Although its defintely near... do you know how long she is preg?

How long have you felt the kittens move? I presume at this moment she has dropped, and you feel them less than earlier?

Not sure how long she's been pregnant for..
I've been feeling the kitties for maybe a month, 2/3 weeks..

She's been pacing and seems very restless and grooming herself quite often. She's been eating and drinking normally, with some brownish discharge, she's been nesting for about 2+ weeks. I'm so excited so it's dragging on for this kitty gma!

I just wish I knew when so I can relax lol! :)

How long have you seen the brownish discharge?

How much and how often?

Does it have an odor?

For a few days now.
There's enough that I can tell it's brownish on her private area. We tapped it lightly with a white towel to see what was going on and it was barely there but enough of to tell. No odor.
She's barely leaving her nest.. just every now and then she'll leave and eat

It sounds like she's getting close. Does she have milk yet?

Yes it seems like there's dry white stuff on her nipples.

She's very close to us, but also a strong independent cat. I'm afraid she isn't gonna come to us when she's in labor and we're gonna have no idea.

On Thursday was when we first saw the discharge.. she's acting kinda funny. Just seems like it's going on and on! I just want her to be ok and have a healthy happy delivery. Her belly looks like a watermelon!

Our cat was similar which started on a Friday, you could see the mini contractions or braxton hicks. She was unsettled/really clingy then didn't want to be touched at all. Went off food. Kept licking herself. Then she had them on Tuesday morning. There were no other signs and she just went into labour and had them within 40mins.

You may want to call your vet if she hasn't had them by tomorrow.

Does anyone have an idea how to get her away from her place she nested?
It's under a big sturdy bed with carpet under there's no way I cant fully cover down there with blankets/towels and I would like her to be in reach if for any reason she had complications.. :/
I don't want to move her and her hold them in or something?! I have a nice box and bed made out for her but she's seem to just want to be under this bed! Any ideas?!

You could take away the bed frame and put the bed on the floor for now.
