OMG.....I thought I was the only one ever to make the name kitty into a contraction.  I, too, have an almost-15-year-old cat named Ki'y!  She is black and part Siamese.  I don't know how long she will live, but she's not sick so far.  She is practically glued to my side.  I adopted her from the city shelter in 2000.  She likes to fetch mylar shred balls and what I call fluff balls (like the ones in craft stores).  If I don't throw the ball for her a lot of times she will fling it (throwing it) for herself.  She gets really excited and vocal when she is playing fetch.
