kitty with poop stuck to butt

i just got an 8 week old persian and i try to wipe after everytime he goes but he managed to get some caked to his butt. he doesnt seem concerned with cleaning it himself and when i try to get it with a warm paper towel he wont let me.....any suggestions? is he maybe too young to groom himself yet? im sorry for the gross topic but its driving me crazy and i want to make sure hes ok.

I would trim the hair round there to stop this happening.  Hopefully he will have realised he needs to clean himself when it grows back.  It might be easiest to get this done at a groomers.
