Hi everyone,
My name is Gem. I'm a new member to the catsite.
I recently adopted an orphaned kitten (22/3/19) who had been rejected and abandoned by it's mother. The owner was unable to provide the required care due to hours at work. (Frustrating I know) I have been providing around the clock care and the kitten is doing fantastic. Steadily gaining weight and confidence. ( I am in Love)
I was informed the kitten was a female, however I'm unsure. Regardless of the sex I plan on having the kitten vaccinated and neutered. Despite it being an indoor cat.
However that won't be for a few more weeks.
My family and I named 'her' Mimi.
(Subject to change if a male)

Hi FunnyBones and Mimi, welcome to the site. Mimi is adorable, no wonder you are in love. Post lots of photos. If you post a photo of the rear end shiwing the necessary bits, someone will be able to tell you if Mimi is a boy or girl.

I have watched almost every YouTube video and searched through many photos online. But I'm still unsure. I heard males Said when stimulated to eliminate 'shoot' out urine. 'Mimi' urine dribbles around her lower body. Anyone with experience in sexing kittens I would be most grateful for your guidance.
Whatever the sex we are smitten with our orphan kitten.

I would say you have a little girl there but I'm no expert. Others will post soon I'm sure. Those photos are so cute, I want her.

Aww thank you. 'She' has stolen our hearts. We are a large family of 6. Consisting of 4 children - 2 boys & 2 girls. So 'Mimi' isn't short of attention. And as you can see by the photos 'she' isn't exactly shy. 'She' seems to pose for each photo Haha.

Mimi is an adorable cute female kitty :hearthrob: :redheartpump:

Here's how to differentiate between male and female cats

You would think the diagram would help me to determine 'her' sex. However I am still unsure. I have had 3 people say Male and equally 3 people say female. So I can be sure of 1 thing she is 1 or the other. :catman:

Well, judging from the photo, Mimi looks like a female to some of us.

Hmmmmm........... But after checking a video, which I'll post the link for you, not sure if you've seen the video, it may help you determine the sex of the kitten.

Yes, I've seen that video by Kitten Lady. She explains that males 'shoot' urine when stimulated however 'Mimi' doesn't. However I'm still unsure.
I can identify Male and female by the below photos. Taken from another video.
