Well, keep trying. Maybe this actually buys you time to get her used to going inside a carrier? Get her used to that and when the next opportunity comes up, you’ll be ready.
I know you were worried about your parrot but you do know that there are large cages the cat could be in as she socializes? I have used them myself. Maybe that is an optikn. IDK but if she were already used to being indoors, her options would probably increase. Just a thought.
