So I received two kittens from someone today who neglected to mention that they had fleas. They weren't infested but they did have a good amount. It was already pretty late where I live and so I did the best I could by soaking them for 10 mins on warm water and using dawn dish detergent a couple of times each. I'm planning on going out tomorrow and getting a flea comb and some type of topical treatment for the fleas preferably one that deals with the eggs and larvae as well. They are both at least 8-9 weeks old and look like they weigh at least 2-3 pounds. Now these of course are guesstimates but I'm pretty sure I'm right. I have a household of pets already who are all either indoor or mostly indoor so the last thing I want is for this to spread. The kittens weren't in contact with any bedding but my kids did pick them up before I realized. Once I did I promptly made sure all the clothes we were wearing were tied up in plastic bags for washing tomorrow. My question is what is the best and safest topical treatment I can get for them ? I saw there is an advantage 2 specifically for kittens. But I'm not sure as I've never dealt with this before. Any help would be appreciated. I have no intention of rehoming my kittens and I really want them to be okay. I'm planning on taking them to the vet on Monday to make sure they weten
