i have read that cats "wag" their tails when they are annoyed.. anyway, my 5 month old kitten does this anytime we touch/kiss/pet/pick her up! As soon as I touch her, even when she is in a peaceful mood, relaxing... her tail starts violently swooshing, sometimes right up to her ears. Her ears are usually not backwards... is it true that this means she is annoyed? does this mean she is constantly annoyed by me touching her or approaching her? Any tips to fix this behaviour? I would like to develop a relationship with her!!!

No, I don't think this means she's annoyed unless she swats, scratches, or hisses at you. How does she act when her tail is swooshing? Is she purring or swatting at you? If a cat doesn't like something they will let you know really quick. The tail swooshing might mean she is happy.

It might also just mean she is hyper. Maybe try tuckering her out, then petting her and seeing if she moves her tail?
